Hotel information

The Cecilienhof was the last palace to be built by the Hohenzollern dynasty. It was erected in the style of a timber-framed English manor house between 1914 and 1917, on the orders of the Crown Prince Wilhelm of Prussia and Princess Cecilie. The wonderful palace gardens are embedded in the park "Neuer Garten" by Jungfernsee Lake in Potsdam. From here the centres of Potsdam and Berlin are within easy reach. Cecilienhof attained world recognition as the site chosen for the negotiations of the victorious allies in the summer of 1945. Truman, Churchill and Stalin negotiated the Potsdam Agreement right here. The historic conference rooms and private chambers of the royal couple are open for viewing in the museum part of the palace.

Food & Beverage

The elegant restaurant is open daily from 12:00 and offers a varied, changing menu featuring regional and international cuisine. If you are an early bird, we recommend our castle breakfast buffet. During the warm months, our staff will be happy to serve your breakfast or meal in the garden terrace area and in winter the open fire place will fill the restaurant with a cosy atmosphere.

Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 10.50 per person.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.

All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 40.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
